Description: |
The Clinical Nurse Specialist
functions (CNS) in the role of clinician, educator, case manager, and
consultant. In collaboration with the medical staff and nursing staff,
the CNS monitors the clinical care of the patients and provides clinical
support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

Clinical Services and work collaboratively with the Nurse manager of the
ICU . Since we have just recently started our Primary PCI program
- this position is critical to our ICU dept.

Directly
responsible for day to day management and accountability of the
following service line delivery teams: Early Detection and Advanced
Diagnostics, Chest Pain/AMI, Heart Failure, Circulatory and Vascular,
Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiovascular Customer Service
Teams
The main function of this position is to develop,
implement, administer and monitor the successful performance of our
Health System service line. This position has primary responsibility for
the successful achievement of all service line quality, financial, and
satisfaction goals. This position ensures service line planning,
consistency across the health system as appropriate, integration among
physicians, coordination among departments, and marketing of service
line related services across the continuum. This position works
collaboratively with the Service Line physician leadership, the service
line stakeholders, and our Health System (MHS) leadership to achieve
strategic goals. This position serves as the primary contact for the
community, medical staff, and referring physicians relative to services
and program development.
The incumbent in this position will support the
mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives of our Health System
and must demonstrate a commitment to quality service to patients,
physicians, the public and co-workers.

Qualifications: |
Master's Degree in Nursing, health related field or
business
Minimum of three (3) years of decision making
management experience handling all aspects of a service line
development, implementation and operation, preferably in healthcare
services
Demonstrates competence in program development,
marketing, sales, project management, client relations, program outcomes
and evaluation performance improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience building collaborative stakeholder
relations
Demonstrated effective organizational, planning,
negotiating, coaching, and conceptual thinking skills
Demonstrative analytical
skills necessary to interpret and convey quantitative and qualitative
data relevant to service line to all stakeholders and operational and
executive management.
