Director, Cardiovascular Service Line

Description: Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.  Responsible and accountable for the direction of patient care activities within the perspective Nursing Department.  Manages staff within the Cath Lab, Cardiac Ultrasound and EKG departments, provides management of operational, clinical and nursing activities.  Consults with staff, physicians and the Chief Nursing Officer on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.  Responsible and accountable for overall fiscal management of all resources required for the effective performance of the department.  Coordinates with Director of Radiology the oversight and operation of the Interventional Radiology Department.

Histology Technician

Description: Role is to perform routine and complex histology procedures utilized in pathology diagnosis.  Pathology results aid clinical practitioners in confirming or ruling out diagnoses, monitoring chronic disease states, and analyzing the effects of medical therapies.

Essential Core Functions:
Uses knowledge of laboratory science to perform the most complex clinical testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIAA '88) providing safe and effective patient care.
